Just thought I'd share this little snippet of info with you all since I had a problem with a laptop. The problem was that every time it went into 'hibernation mode' it wouldn't come back out of it again without restarting the laptop, and sometimes it would even just 'slip into hibernation' for no good reason!. . . very annoying. Anyway, here's how to turn hibernation off in VISTA.

- Go to the Control Panel and seleect user accounts.
- Select 'Turn User Account Control On or Off' and turn it off.
- Restart your computer.
- Go to start and type in command prompt.
- Now type in: powercfg -hibernation off

You will see that Hibernation has gone from the Start Menu and if you have been having problems with it like I was hopefully now your woes will be defeated. Hope this helps someone! :)
