Hi all,

I'm going to be building an i7 machine and wanted to get some opinions on which cooler to go for? So far I have looked at:

- Asus Triton 81 Quiet
- Zalman CNPS9900-LED
- Coolermaster V8

Cheers all

I always liked Zalman, just because it's a Zalman. It's like the Asti Martin of the fan world. Alternatively go for the ASUS because it's better :)

I'd make a suggestion but I can't be bothered to search for the specs on each cooler. . . . . any takers?

The Coolermaster V8 is a beast, I don't know if it's really any better than the others but I do know it looks like a beast because my mate has one :)

Hi guys, sorry for not getting back to you before. I went for the Coolmaster V8 in the end, mainly because as internet junky said, it looks like a beast! Although I'm still waiting to put it into my new i7 rig when I get the money to actual build it, too skint at the mo, just got £70 saved so far to go towards a new board :(

Have you decided on a board yet, I'd be interested to see how you go on as I'd like to get an i7 rig together at some point too!

Well. . . I quite like the look of this one Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R but there's quite a good choice now so I'm open to opinions. Considering teh cost of an i7 rig I'd rather ponder a bit instead of rushing in and foobing the decision.
